Meet Jamie

Jamie Foehr is the founder and creative director of Carry On Design Co., and has served residents and businesses of the West Coast as an interior design expert since 2006. After many years in the industry, Jamie supports her clients with a diverse set of skills, including expertise in architecture, sustainable design, and historic preservation.

Jamie officially launched her design career after completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design and Architecture in 2010. She later worked with the Sacramento Building Review in the Historic Preservation Department and joined both the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). She is on track to become a NCIDQ-certified interior designer by the end of 2025.

Jamie took her skills and studies abroad during the summer of 2009, earning a degree internship with the world-renowned Grapes Design Firm in London. In the years that followed, she accepted a range of independent work for design firms across the San Francisco Bay Area, until eventually returning to Sacramento in 2016. She worked in various roles in the commercial design space and luxury design industry before founding Carry On Design Co. in 2020.

Originally from Northern California, Jamie now resides in Salem, Oregon, with her partner John and their lively cat, Tommy. In her free time, Jamie enjoys thrifting vintage treasures, wine tasting in the Willamette Valley, and wandering the Pacific Northwest’s many hiking trails.
